Hearthstone of Northern Nevada in Sparks, NV, a 125-bed facility, is a comprehensive healthcare provider offering rehabilitation therapy, skilled nursing care, orthopedic care, postsurgical care, pain management, cardiac care, wound care, therapist PT/OT/ST, nutrition support, short term & long term care, social work/discharge planning, hospice, and respite care; medicare/insurance case management.

Medical Unit
Medical care and rehabilitation programs are available seven days a week and include Physical, Occupation and Speech Therapy along with individual skilled medical care.  Our Medical Unit care is provided by qualified and accredited personnel.  Our interdisciplinary team will work closely with you and your family as well as your physicians.

The nursing staff and therapists at Hearthstone offer specialized medical care including but not limited to:
– Neurological injury or illness
– Post CVA (stroke) education and training
– Energy conservation
– Pain management
– Tracheostomy management and care
– PEG tube care
– Complex wound and ostomy
– Diabetic monitoring and education
– Respiratory issues
– Lymphedema

Cardiac Rehabilitation
Our program is designed to help people who suffer from heart disease recover more quickly and improve overall mental and physical well-being.  Cardiac rehabilitation is available seven days per week and includes Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy.

The nursing staff and therapists at Hearthstone offer specialized cardiac care including but not limited to:
– Strength training
– Energy conservation
– Nutritional support
– Education regarding the cardiac disease process and managing the signs and symptoms
– Comprehensive exercise programs
– Peripheral edema
– Complications due to congestive heart failure and shortness of breath
– Family and care giver education prior to returning home

Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program is available seven days per week and includes Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy services.  Each therapy is provided by qualified and accredited personnel.  Our therapists work closely with the physicians, nursing staff, residents and family members to develop a comprehensive yet individualized plan of care, striving to ensure that every resident achieves their maximum rehabilitative potential.

The therapists at Hearthstone offer specialized orthopedic care including but not limited to:
– Fractures, joint replacement
– Difficulty with balance and coordination
– Passive stretching and joint mobilization
– Surgical wound care
– Energy conversation
– Consulting orthopedic surgeon and physiatrist
– Family and care giver education
– In home evaluations and assessments

Sierra Ridge
Sierra Ridge Health & Wellness Suites in Reno, NV is a leading destination for senior healthcare and rehabilitation.  Sierra Ridge Health and Wellness Suites is a state-of-the-art senior healthcare and rehabilitation facility with over 67,000 square feet. Our Rehabilitation Program consists of an interdisciplinary team to evaluate each person’s unique situation and create an individualized plan of care to attain the greatest outcomes possible. Long Term Care assists those who may benefit from 24-hour nursing care and assistance with meals, medications or other activities of daily living.  The environment at Sierra Ridge is designed so that our resident members may live comfortably, as part of a community with a focus on health and wellness.

Amenities and services include, but are not limited to, twenty-four (24) hour clinical care, rehabilitation services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy), full-service dining and nutritional services, and pharmacy services. The facility has multiple living/recreational rooms, dining rooms, and outdoor gardens. It contains multiple Wellness and Therapy spaces that can be utilized by residents of the facility.

Services include Short Term Rehab, Long Term Rehab, Wound Care, Physician Services (including Nurse Practitioners), Nutrition Support, Diabetic Care, Social Work and Discharge Planning, and Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. Respite and Hospice/Palliative Care services are available.
