About Prestige Care, Inc. and
Prestige Senior Living

Great things often start from small beginnings. Prestige Care is no exception. Founded in 1985, our origins begin with the legacy of Sarah Delamarter, a pioneer in Oregon’s long-term care industry. Sarah first began using her nursing skills to care for seniors in her home back in 1946 as a means to support her family. As Sarah’s reputation for compassion and care spread, the demands for her services grew very quickly.

SARAH’S LEGACY LIVES ON THROUGH PRESTIGE

Sarah’s grandsons, Harold and Dr. Rick Delamarter along with their partner Greg Vislocky, now own Prestige. Each day they strive to build on her legacy of bringing family communities together and expanding the number of individuals the organization serves.

Today, Prestige Senior Living is part of a complete senior care organization which includes independent living communities, assisted living, memory care, home health, as well as rehabilitation and post-acute care. Residents at our communities are not just people we serve, but valued and appreciated members of our Prestige family.

At Heritage Springs, our residents awake each morning knowing they have control over whatever lies ahead. Each day is as active, inspiring and as independent as they want it to be. After all, our philosophy is to encourage an active, Las Vegas senior lifestyle that supports privacy and dignity.

Heritage Springs is a resort-like senior living community located near the corner of West Flamingo Road and South El Capitan in beautiful, sunny Las Vegas. We’re near the 215 and just seven miles from the Las Vegas strip. You can see the glow of the casinos from many of our apartments. Plus, our residents can enjoy the beauty of the nearby Red Rock Mountains, take in a NASCAR event at the Las Vegas Speedway, or shop at the Downtown Summerlin Mall.

Our residents love to travel around the area, but travel isn’t always necessary because the opportunities for socializing, exercise, games, watching a movie, or simply relaxing are virtually endless right here.

Alzheimer’s Care Facilities Where Residents Come First

A Personalized Approach to Assisted Senior Living

Poet’s Walk offers premier memory care facilities with locations in Florida, Texas, Nevada and Virginia. A member of Spring Hills Senior Communities, we demonstrate “Caring with a Commitment to Quality” in all that we do.

From innovative, holistic programs that promote socializing and wellbeing to our proprietary senior caregiving standards, the team here excels at fostering a nourishing, compassionate environment that supports each resident. Pets are welcome too, because wagging tails make Poet’s Walk more enjoyable for everyone.

Each location is designed with optimal memory care in mind, making it a welcoming, safe atmosphere. Top-notch doctors, nurses, therapists, and other specialists are available to provide medical care customized to every patient’s need. Our goal is to make your loved one feel at home so they can live in a supportive, positive setting.

Wagging Tails Make Smiling Faces

Therapeutic Activities for Elderly Residents at Poet’s Walk

A growing body of evidence indicates that interacting with pets promotes physical and psychological benefits. At Poet’s Walk, we’re all about anything that improves the health and quality of life for your loved one. That’s why our Pets Are Welcome (PAW) Program is so purrfect!

For senior citizens struggling with life events beyond their control, such as illness or the death of a friend, an affectionate nuzzle or lick from a fuzzy companion could prove lifesaving. Those coping with the aging process—or residents who simply love animals—can find added comfort because we keep pets on the premises and welcome family pets.

Studies suggest that pets help lower blood pressure and triglyceride counts more than their counterparts who do not own pets. A handful of studies point to more smiling and alertness among seniors—some with forms of dementia are known to be less aggressive and more tolerant when interacting with an animal. We have witnessed firsthand that this type of recreation therapy for elderly residents is just what the doctor ordered—plus, it’s fun to play with a furry friend. Let us know how we can accommodate your paws!

We’re so excited to be opening a brand new community here in the local Henderson/Las Vegas community. I have been an Executive Director for 6 years. I recently went back to school and completed my Masters Degree in Gerontology at the University of Utah. I love the work in which I’m involved. Getting to know our residents and their unique life stories is so much fun! My wife and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this summer and have 3 young children who keep us on our toes. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, any sport, but my favorites are baseball and golf, and spending time doing anything outdoors. We’re really happy to be here in town and look forward to becoming a part of the local community.

Carol Ann Kimble is an Impathic Counselor.  She has the ability to feel the feelings of others by bonding with their subconscious mind.  By doing this, she is able to assist them in releasing any blocks or fear that is within the channel of energy that exists between the conscious and subconscious mind.  She calls this ability her “love-energy” gift.  Through her one-on-one Sharing sessions, she is able to connect the individual with their God-self or true beingness to assist them in getting out of their own way!

There is so much revealed during the Sharing session, that Carol Ann always records the session so the individual has total access to their own psychic DNA for a lifetime.  There is not any way that all the information shared could be received and processed at one time.  It is genuinely life changing!  And the best part is, one session is all that is required.  Of Course, she does have those individuals who give themselves the gift of another Sharing session, but it totally is not necessary.

Through the release of fear in your subconscious mind, you will set yourself free to experience life with the benefit of your full potential to overcome challenges you face and to fulfill your own desires.  Again, simply stated, to get out of your own way!  Isn’t it time to get on with it?!

Let the staff at Sterling Ridge welcome you home.

Sterling Ridge focuses on a resident-centered approach to day-to-day life. With an ever evolving social calendar, we try to meet the needs and desires of each of our residents. Keep your body active with Beach Ball Volleyball , Chair Exercises and even Water Balloon Fights. Don’t forget to keep your mind active by participating in Trivia, Cranium Crunch and Words from Words. All this and more is held at our community, but we also load up the Sterling Ridge bus for outings to restaurants, casinos and stores. We can also accommodate the necessary errands of life with scheduled outings to medical appointments, banks, the post office and even the DMV.

Independent Living is just that: Independent. It’s a wonderful option for those 55 and older who would like fewer worries and a more social environment! No health or care services are provided by our staff, but many other services are provided and available, such as meals, housekeeping, a social calendar and transportation. All basic utilities are included in the monthly rent, so there are much fewer bills to worry about.

Should one need a little extra help with some day-to-day activities, Assisted Living would be the right fit. At the Assisted Living level, residents can still maintain independence, but get a little of the help that may be needed. Assistance by our trained care staff can be provided in medication management, Activities of Daily Living (such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toilet assistance), and reminders.

Our Memory Care wing is designed for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia who need more hands on assistance in a safe and secured environment. Our specially trained staff provides ongoing care with continuous patience.

Immunize Nevada Reminds Nevadans: It’s Time to Get your Flu Vaccine

Reno, Nev. (October 15, 2015) – October 4 was significant for an inauspicious reason, according to the Centers for Disease Control – it marked the date the CDC officially began tracking cases of the flu.

“Seasonal flu vaccines are your best protection against getting flu,” said Heidi Parker, executive director of Immunize Nevada. “Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every year. The flu vaccine can literally save your life or the life of someone you love. Getting vaccinated not only protects you, but also those in our community who are vulnerable — like children and seniors.”

Nevadans are increasingly seeing flu vaccine reminders at local pharmacies, and family doctors/pediatricians are now reminding patients to get themselves and their children vaccinated.

These are valid reminders. Because while some think flu is akin to a “bad cold,” it’s something altogether different — and far more serious.

CDC Chief Thomas Frieden spoke during a National Foundation for Infectious Diseases press conference Sept. 17, noting that the 2014-2015 season had the highest hospitalization rate among seniors ever documented.

And so far this year, the new vaccine formulation appears to be a good match for the infection.

“The [strains] that are causing very early disease are exactly as predicted, and it looks to me like the vaccine is going to be well protective,” Dr. William Schaffner, infectious disease specialist at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and the past president of the NFID, said at the press conference.

To emphasize the gravity of flu, the CDC and flu.gov ask people to keep a few facts and figures in:

  • More than 200,000 Americans are hospitalized and thousands die every year from the influenza virus.
  • During the 2014-2015 flu season, 146 pediatric deaths were reported from 40 states; that number is typically closer to 100.
  • Eight pediatric deaths occurred in Nevada during the 2014-2015 flu season.
  • Flu causes 38 million lost school days and 111 million lost workdays a year, resulting in more than $7 billion in lost wages.
  • About 20,000 children under 5 are hospitalized each year from the flu.
  • The median age of children who died from the flu virus from January 2014-June 2015 was 5.9 years old.

“This is not just a bad cold or headache,” Parker said. “Flu can — and does — kill.”

Flu vaccination, either by shot or nasal spray, is your best chance at not getting the flu, and Parker adds that Nevada has many options for no-cost flu vaccinations. Additionally, Immunize Nevada has a convenient interactive widget on its website, www.influencenevada.org; the “Flu Vaccine Finder” allows you to input your zip code, generating a list of locations nearby offering flu vaccine.

And according to the CDC, people should be vaccinated against flu as soon as possibly after vaccine becomes available — ideally by October.

“It takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop in the body and provide protection against the flu,” notes the CDC’s website.

But what if you do contract flu?

Flu symptoms include:

  • A fever of 100 degrees or higher
  • A cough and/or sore throat
  • A runny or stuffy nose
  • Headaches and/or body aches
  • Chills
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea

CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or other necessities.

Prevention Is Our Mission: We are a diverse partnership of individuals, businesses and organizations committed to improving and protecting the health of children, teens, adults & seniors in Nevada. Our mission is to promote health & prevent the incidence of vaccine preventable diseases in Nevada through community partnerships & education.

Immunize Nevada is a statewide network of individuals, businesses, public health entities and organizations committed to improving and protecting the health of children, teens, adults and seniors in Nevada.

Established in 1995 as a small group of citizens concerned about Nevada’s immunization rate being the lowest in the country, Immunize Nevada now consists of more than 100 members working together to help improve the health of Nevadans through vaccination awareness, outreach and education.

We help keep Nevadans healthy and educated about immunizations. Some of our responsibilities include:

  • Supporting healthcare professionals by providing education opportunities, conferences, office tools and incentives.
  • Collaborating with regional, state and national partners to develop immunization projects and programs.
  • Serving as an expert resource to community members.

At MorningStar, it’s in the air.  In the very chemistry of the place.  You can feel it.  You can see it with your own eyes, every day:  our staff flat out loving our residents, loving them like they do their own moms and dads.

Ken Jaeger, founder of MorningStar, proved his acumen for the senior living industry through 15 years of executive roles, garnering experience in acquisitions, construction and management.

In 2003, an idea began to take shape, a pressing dream to create his own brand of senior living defined by the human touch.  “I wanted to re-create my grandmother’s house, a place where one can go and feel a sense of family.”

Ken had specific designs on how to foster the ultimate environment for the well being of seniors.  Out of these convictions, he established three precepts for MorningStar:  Honor God.  Value All Seniors.  Invest generously in his team.

From his first home in Denver, MorningStar Assisted Living of Littleton, the difference was manifest: all the amenities of a five-star resort infused with the warmth of a real home.

And now, ten years and 12 homes later, MorningStar has become a landmark name in senior living.

From independent living to assisted living, from basic care through Alzheimer’s support, MorningStar’s continuum of service allows residents to extend their stay until a diagnosis calls for 24-hour nursing.  Through Respite Care and Day Programs, MorningStar also opens its homes for short-term stays.

Our website offers even more about the MorningStar difference.  There you’ll read about WellStar, our signature program which encompasses the physical, social, spiritual and intellectual sides of wellness.  You’ll see a gallery of our award-winning architecture and gracious design.  And find a Decision Guide that helps families understand & navigate the complex world of senior living, complete with downloadable templates.  Read especially “Testify to Love,” which captures the sentiments of residents, their families and our staff as to why we do what we do and the impact we have.

We see our residents as heroes—men and women who have exacted out of life all its triumphs and trials, who in raw courage and tenacity have invested their days.  Seniors are a testimony to the colossal events in history.  They’ve witnessed world wars and the worldwide web—all in one glorious sweep.  If anyone deserves honor and respect, it is our seniors.  This is MorningStar’s high and chosen calling.

Nevada Magazine Announces 2013 Best of Nevada Winners

Nevada Magazine has released the results of its 2013 Best of Nevada readers’ survey. The survey spans 16 categories and includes golf courses, museums, restaurants, and state parks.

Carson City’s Casino Fandango was a multiple-category winner as well for Buffet (Rum Jungle Buffet) and Casino. Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum in Reno received recognition in the Museum and (best) Place to Take the Kids categories. Reno’s Mt. Nevada Ballet Theatre Presents Romeo & Juliet for an unforgettable season finale

SHAKESPEARE’S PLAY AND PROKOFIEV’S ENDURING SCORE BRINGS THE ‘MONTAGUES’ AND ‘CAPULETS’ TO LIFE IN THIS RIVETING BALLET CHOREOGRAPHED BY JAMES CANFIELD

“For never was a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo.”- William Shakespeare

Romeo & Juliet is Co-Sponsored by: Madeleine & Don Andress and Wendy & Richard Plaster

LAS VEGAS, NV (Wednesday, April 10, 2013) – Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) concludes its inaugural season at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts with the beloved Shakespearean tragedy, Romeo & Juliet. The classic tale of ill-fated love will be presented on Mother’s Day weekend: Saturday, May 11 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 12 at 1 pm in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, 361 Symphony Park Avenue. Ticket prices range from $35-$128 (plus fees) and can be ordered by calling The Smith Center Box Office at (702) 749-2000 or by visiting www.nevadaballet.org.

Based on the play by William Shakespeare, NBT will transport audiences to 15th Century Verona through Sergei Prokofiev’s well-loved score, Romeo & Juliet, Op. 64. Minimalist – yet lush – sets and costumes, reminiscent of the time period, will complement the inventive choreography of Artistic Director James Canfield. Through comedy and tragedy, movement and miming, feuding families tell the tale of innocent love through street fighting, swordmanship and traditional court dancing in this two-act full-length ballet.

One of Shakespeare’s most performed and notable plays, Romeo & Juliet has successfully been adapted for various performance mediums over the centuries, including stage, opera and film. A challenging ballet for any professional dancer, it requires unique preparation in that performers must master a historically stylized look as well as a deep exploration into the art of acting. With an emotionally charged storyline, a concentration on character development is essential, so that the growth and change in each character is evident to audiences.

Romeo & Juliet is a significant ballet because it serves as a unique educational tool; in addition to the historical importance of William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo & Juliet explores cultural, familial and societal issues that are applicable to young people in our society today,” said Artistic Director James Canfield.  “Clark County students who attend our school matinee on Friday, May 10 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts will gain a unique understanding into the growth and maturation of a character, similar to how we as human beings develop and change throughout our lives.”

As a benefit for Romeo & Juliet ticket holders, NBT will present Insights, a pre-performance perspective designed to engage, enlighten and entertain audiences in preparation for the performance they are about to see. Led by NBT’s Director of Education & Outreach, Terané Comito, Insights will be presented inside The Smith Center’s Troesh Studio Theater and will take place 45 minutes prior to curtain (Saturday, May 11 at 6:45 pm and Sunday, May 12 at 12:15 pm).

MOTHER’S DAY TEA with

Join us for the Mother’s Day Tea and a “Mommy and Me” Fashion Presentation featuring the designs of Paul Smith in The Smith Center Courtyard (adjacent to the box office). Guests will enjoy tea sandwiches, petit fours and specialty tea selections. Add to the beauty of the ballet experience by attending this special event prior to the matinee on Sunday, May 12 from 11 am – 1 pm. Tickets can be purchased for an additional $75 by calling 702-243-2623 ext. 222 or via email at specialevents@nevadaballet.org.

JEWELRY BOX” OPPORTUNITY with

Exclusively for Romeo & Juliet, purchase a “Jewelry Box” of 4, 6 or 8 seats. Purchase includes access to the Founders Room, concierge service as well as a $100 gift card for each guest to The Jewelers of Las Vegas. Call 702-243-2623 ext. 224 to make a reservation.

The Harrowing Medical Journey of a Cancer Survivor by Nina Kramer

The Harrowing Medical Journey of a Cancer Survivor by Nina Kramer

“‘You have cancer’ are three of the scariest words you will ever hear,”
says Nina Kramer, author of the new book, The Harrowing Medical Journey of
a Cancer Survivor. “But how you react after hearing those words can mean
the difference between thriving and deteriorating.”

Kramer’s journey through the world of cancer treatment began in 2000 when
she was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Every year over 73,000 people are
diagnosed with the disease in the United States. Men are three times more
likely than women to develop it and about 5% will die from the disease, but
the death rate has been declining over the past twenty years.

Like many, Kramer’s journey began with a routine physical. What followed was
anything but routine.  Her first detour began with a trusted doctor. She liked him and
followed his instructions faithfully but, as she was to learn, he was not giving her the best and most advanced treatments. The number one rule when facing an illness as serious as cancer, she quickly discovered, is to do your research and seek out the best doctors and institutions that treat your disease.

The Harrowing Medical Journey of a Cancer Survivor is Kramer’s courageous
story as she copes with a severe illness that lasted more than a decade. It began with a diagnosis of low-grade bladder cancer, continued with the removal and/or reconstruction of vital organs, and ended with dialysis and a kidney transplant. Although the story is specific to bladder cancer and its aftermath, it covers aspects inherent in any serious,
and sometimes life-threatening, illness.

With candor, honesty and life-affirming messages, The Harrowing Medical
Journey of a Cancer Survivor shares:

* The impact of emotions on surviving a serious illness – fear, denial, anger, anxiety and depression can have devastating results
* The search for experts – the single most important thing you can do when
battling a severe illness is to find the best hospitals and doctors specializing in your disease
* The focus on other passions – engrossing yourself in activities other than the illness to relieve your mind from the constant anxiety of worrying about it
* The importance of cancer support groups and psychotherapy – talking to other people can help you explore your feelings so they don’t interfere with or hamper your recovery
* Spending time on what you love – do everything you can to fight your illness, but spend time doing the things that bring you pleasure and satisfaction
* Having sex – the human contact and intimacy, as well as the erotic pleasure, can be a wonderful antidote to pain and misery

“I wanted to share my story with other cancer victims,” adds Kramer. “As I travelled this frightening medical journey, I learned a lot about how to survive and even thrive under sometimes terrifying circumstances. I wanted to share this experience in the hope that it would help others undergoing frightening medical journeys.

Nina Kramer, is a published novelist and author of the new nonfiction ebook,
The Harrowing Medical Journey of a Cancer Survivor. She has held various
positions from journals manager to assistant vice president with medical,
scientific and technical publishers while pursuing her craft as a writer.
While undergoing cancer treatment, she made an arduous trip through some
remote locations in China—described in her Medical Journey book—as
research for her next novel set in the Middle Kingdom, Phoenix Rising; Tigers Flying. She divides her time between New York City and Stockbridge, MA.

Sierra Club Responds to NV Energy Proposal for Retiring Coal Plants

Coal retirements promising but questions remain on mix of renewables, energy efficiency, and gas

Carson City – A proposal being rolled out by NV Energy today in the state legislature would set new retirement dates for Nevada’s coal plants, including speeding up retirement of the controversial Reid Gardner plant. The legislation also increases new renewable energy and allows NV Energy to build several new gas plants.

In response, the Sierra Club Energy Task Force issued the following statement:

The Sierra Club welcomed news of NV Energy’s intention to retire the Reid Gardner coal plant by 2017 and to end its contract with Navajo Generating Station’s coal-fired power by 2019. The Club also expressed support for adding new renewable energy projects to replace some of the coal power.

“With this legislation, NV Energy unequivocally acknowledges that Nevada wants and needs to leave coal behind. Closing the Reid Gardner coal plant would clean up Nevada’s air pollution and reduce health risks for thousands of Nevadans,” said Jane Feldman, Sierra Club state Energy Task Force chair. “We strongly support closing that plant and fully cleaning up the site, including the polluted lands, air and water near the Moapa Band of Paiutes’ Moapa River Reservation.”

“Replacing that coal power with renewable energy will create jobs for Nevadans and a better future for our children. We are pleased to see additional renewable energy called for in this bill,” said Feldman.

However, Sierra Club said that concerns remain over NV Energy’s proposals to build new natural gas plants and suggested that more emphasis on energy efficiency and renewable energy is needed. “Energy efficiency can put money right back into the pockets of consumers every month,” said Feldman. “And if we build more renewable energy, costs remain stable for decades because the fuel costs for solar, wind and geothermal are free,” she continued.

Sierra Club is continuing to study the bill and will provide detailed input to the legislature as these proposals move forward.

Hometown Health Offers Drive-Thru Flu Shots at Renown South Meadows

Filed under: Events, Press-Media Releases, Reno

Hometown Health and Senior Care Plus will provide northern Nevada residents with the convenience of drive-thru seasonal flu shots, Saturday, Oct. 6 from 8 a.m. to noon, at Renown South Meadows Medical Center, 10101 Double R Blvd. This event is one of more than 45 scheduled Renown Health flu and pneumonia shot offerings around the Truckee Meadows community this season.

“The drive-thru flu shot event is one of our most popular events because of the ease and convenience it offers,” said Ty Windfeldt, vice president of Hometown Health. “Depending on wait times, the entire process can take as little as 10 minutes. It’s great for people who know they should get the shot or want the shot but have trouble finding the time to fit in a visit to their doctor’s office.”

Flu shots are offered at no cost to Medicare beneficiaries (Part B), members of Senior Care Plus or Hometown Health fully insured HMO and PPO plans and Renown Health employee plan members. All other individuals can receive the seasonal flu shots for $28. Pneumonia shots will be offered for those people whose medical conditions could be helped by one (individuals must meet CDC requirements). There are no out-of-pocket costs for Medicare (Part B), Senior Care Plus members or Hometown Health fully insured HMO and PPO plan members. For all others, the pneumonia shot is $70.

“The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a flu vaccine as the first and most important thing people can do to protect against the flu,” said Lori Mitchell, health management services manager at Renown Health. “Additional preventive actions like washing your hands regularly and covering your cough will help stop the spread of germs.”

If unable to attend this flu shot event, people are encouraged to visit renown.org/flu for a complete flu and pneumonia shot schedule and locations. Pediatric flu shots are available by appointment only for children ages six months to eight years old. Call 775-982-5433 to schedule. Flu shots are available to children ages nine to 17 with a parent present.

We Believe in 3 Things…

Laser Wellness PMA believes in truly a three word motto:  Learn, Invest, Share We know that today is more important than ever for people to Learn about their health conditions, Learn about what natural options are out there, and to Learn how to think with a winning attitude towards health and life.  We believe that by Investing in your health you are taking responsibility for your health and not just relying on someone else alone.  It has been proven again and again that being an active partner in your health and wellness journey can make all the difference.  Most people have never really invested in their health before, they pay insurance, they supplement, they pay for medications, but they never really invest in their health and miss out on truly being responsible and given themselves the best quality of life possible.  We also believe in Sharing health and wellness with everyone you know.  Once you invest in LLLT, whether you are a professional or a consumer, Share it with every family member, friend, neighbor, and co-worker so they can get a glimpse of what LLLT can do for them…

Do You Believe In Health & Wellness?

What is it that keeps our  Health in somewhat dismay?  As we age, we have been trained to think that taking medications, surgeries, pain, lack of energy, lack of mobility, memory and vision loss, are all just the way it is and “normal.”  The TRUTH is we have given up responsibility of our own health journey.  Who is Responsible for our health and our families, our Doctors? Our Government? Our Insurance Companies? FACTS are that we are living longer, but not healthier, we are living sicker, longer!  We have more disease, sickness, pain, and injury problems than ever, and we take more prescriptions and have more surgeries than ever, yet we seem to be unhealthier!  The US is near the bottom in Longevity and Life Expectancy out of all the industrialized nations on Earth!

You always have the option to change caregivers!

  • You choose how much help you want. From a few hours a week, to around-the-clock care. We’re flexible. We can work around doctors’ appointments, work schedules and sleep patters.

  • We can assign a caregiver, or you have the option to assign a friend or relative, (but not a spouse) to care for you. In some cases, we can bill Medicaid or Long-Term care insurance, then we pay that friend or relative to provide care.

Most people love their caregivers, but once in a while there’s friction. If you’re not getting along with your aide, just call us and we’ll arrange for another to provide care. We want you to be satisfied with your care and your caregiver.

Personal Care Assistance

PCA services are provided in the client’s home by a qualified professional called a Personal Care Assistant. PCA programs offer assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL’s).

Respite Care

(Similar to PCA/Chore services) Respite is provided when the primary caregiver (Friend or Family member) needs temporary relief.

Chore Services

Chore services include general housekeeping, laundry, shopping, Meal planning and preparation, running errands and more

Who We Are

A Little Bit of History…

Founded  in 1992, Willow Creek Association (WCA) is a not-for-profit Christian organization that exists to maximize the transformative power of the local church. Our vision is to see every local church reach its full redemptive potential — becoming an unbridled conduit for the transforming power of Jesus Christ. In  short, we provide vision, inspiration, connection, tools, training, resources, and venues for church leaders like you to learn from and support one another.

Serving Leaders Worldwide…

For nearly 20 years, the WCA has developed a respected history of excellence and innovation in serving local churches and their leaders. We’re privileged to serve alongside 7,000 Member Churches representing more than 90 denominations and training leaders in 85 countries. Over the course of a year 15,000 churches engage with our vision, training, and resources.

Bill Hybels, Chairman of the Board @BillHybels

“When God transforms the life of just one leader, that leader can transform a church. When one church is transformed, you can transform a community. And… eventually the entire world is affected with the positive, life-changing power of Jesus Christ and the restoring work of His people.” – Bill Hybels

Jim Mellado, WCA President @JimMellado

“I am passionate about what can happen when God captures the heart of a faith community and it becomes a life-transforming agent to its community and the world as He intended.” – Jim Mellado

Church Partnership…

Connection with an under-resourced community can change your congregation’s perspective on faith and the challenges of the worldwide Church. These relationships provide a spiritual and emotional connection for your congregation and will open doors to great serving opportunities.

Effective discipleship is hard work.

You and your ministry team may spend countless hours creating opportunities, but are people growing? How can you be sure what you are doing is truly relevant to the spiritual growth of those in your church?

The REVEAL Spiritual Life Survey uncovers the hearts of your people so God can show you new ways to help them grow. REVEAL invites your congregation to honestly answer the question, “Where are you in a relationship to God”?

Over 1,500 pastors have asked this question of more than 450,000 church members have answered.

Churches of every size and shape are beginning to see their people move toward deep love of God and genuine love for others.

Learn new ways for your people to love Him and others more…

… those who are stuck will begin moving again…

… those who are dissatisfied with find hope for their journey of faith…

…those who are growing will build spiritual momentum…

Personalized  Practical Resources

  • Custom  report generated by your congregation’s responses, detailed explanations and charts
  • RevealWorks, a digital tool kit to help interpret your results – includes next steps with devotionals, self-guided planning sessions for your team, and  processing tools
  • Facilitator guides  to make planning sessions more productive

Quick Start GuideThe REVEALWORKS planning process is a self-facilitated, four-step process that guides a ministry team through understanding, prioritizing and acting in response to the REVEAL Spiritual Life Survey. Each step of the process is guided by a complete kit that provides your team with everything needed to lead an effective planning workshop.

About Life Care

Your family is special with its deep bonds and unique relationships. Facing a dramatic change – such as moving a loved one into assisted living or a nursing home – is an unsettling prospect for most people. Life Care Centers have helped families for decades to work through the difficult decisions about how best to care for their loved ones. We understand how trying it is to choose nursing home care for your loved one, and how most struggling caretakers feel there is no other choice.

That’s why we’re here.

We want those special members of your family to become equally special members of ours. We want to relieve the anxiety and frustration you may be experiencing by providing a nursing home community of constant support, attention and personalized care. Above all, we want to serve each person entrusted to us with compassion, dignity, purpose and respect.

That’s not just our goal. It’s our privilege.

Services

At Life Care Centers of America, we take elderly care very seriously. That’s why we offer residents a wide range of living arrangements and amenities, services and care. From home assisted living to retirement living to nursing homes – and even campuses that offer all three in a continuum of care – Life Care has the experience, expertise, and dedication to provide a full scope of specialty services.

Whether your needs include Alzheimer’s care, in-home nursing care, rehabilitation or recovery help, or any of a number of other specialty services, Life Care will be there, with all the support, education, and commitment you and your loved one need.

Rehabilitation

Life can deliver some unexpected twists: accidents, sudden illnesses or emergency surgeries can happen when you least expect them. And in the aftermath of such events, your energy is focused primarily on recovery—trying to also find the best available resources for help can be pretty challenging.

At Life Care, we understand the intense desire to recuperate and get back to normal as quickly as possible. But serious illness or trauma can sometimes force you to relearn even basic functions. The struggle to regain those lost capabilities while still recovering is frustrating and often overwhelming.

That’s when our teams of experts can make an overwhelming difference. Our skilled therapy services can hasten your recovery, help return lost skills and bring back strength and mobility. Our caring professionals work tirelessly with our residents not only in physical areas, but also by constantly supporting and encouraging them emotionally.

We believe our residents are the extraordinary people who refuse to allow temporary setbacks or disabilities to affect them permanently. Their determination and effort become invaluable tools in the rehabilitation process.

And it is our greatest privilege to partner with them—or you, or your loved one—during recovery … and become your strongest advocates in the road to reclaiming total wellness.

Life Care Centers of America

The sun setting is no less beautiful that the sun rising.

Imagine living in a beautiful, peaceful environment, surrounded by friends and activities.

Caring for Life…
Since 1970, Life Care Centers of America has been providing unequaled nursing care and assisted living service. Our continuum of care campuses give our residents an individual care plan through various levels of care. But it\’s our commitment to quality and professionalism that makes us second to none.
